At the first World Expo in Central Asia, over 110 countries presented their future solutions on the topic of energy. With the slogan “Flower Power”, the Swiss pavilion focussed on the power of nature in the form of renewable energies.
The aim was to create an entertaining and interactive exhibition where visitors can test and experience their relationship with energy in intelligent and efficient ways.

This intuitive creative concept will also demonstrate how each and every one of us can make a small contribution towards the creation of something huge
At the heart of the 460m² exhibition were four themed houses, which were placed in the centre of the pavilion: The Monte Rosa Hut, the Rösti House, the House of Water and the House of Swiss Innovation. The pavilion's attractions also sensitised visitors to the fact that everyone can contribute to the energy transition by making conscious choices in their everyday lives.
We are very proud and happy about the two received awards for the Swiss Pavilion at EXPO2017 in Astana. The Golden Award has been awarded by the renowned BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) in the category “Development”.
The silver award was given in the “Best Presentation” category. An international jury of nine members visited each pavilion of the 115 countries and the 22 international organizations participating in Expo 2017 Astana. In four different categories, depending on the size of the participation in the country, the official participant prizes were awarded either for exhibition design or for the development of the theme “Future Energy”.
This pavilion is playful, unexpected, makes you curious and is funny: absolutely adorable.
We just loved the theme, Flower Power, and how Switzerland brought it to life from the entry and throughout the pavilion.
Brilliant combination of interactivity, colorful projections on the floor and overall aesthetics related to the subjectstand
The large puff cushions with a view to presentation projection was simply brilliant!
