As part of Baselworld 2019, we assumed responsibility for the plaza area. During the event, the press centre, restaurants, the 'Pocket Park' miniature park, platforms and press associations were located here. The Plaza space had a total area of around 3,150 m2. Our assignment included the implementation of the design by Dany Waldner's architects. With the exception of the section for the press associations, all elements of the plaza were built according to the same principle using 7m high steel components. Our team demonstrated excellent change management skills during the numerous adjustments over the course of planning and construction. The project was calculated from the end of October 2018 and then implemented from December using rolling wave planning. The construction phase ran from February 2019 to the opening of Baselworld on 21 March 2019.
Expomobilia has been responsible for all the planning and reconstruction for Ronda’s exhibition project since 2013. Ronda is one of the largest manufacturers of high-precision, innovatively designed electronic clock movements in the world, and has always been dedicated to “time”. At Baselworld, however, one’s attention is drawn less to time than to the spacious and comfortable lounge, with its soft shapes and colors.
