Citizen / Bulova
Exhibition Stand "Time Theatre" at BASELWORLD 2018
"We Celebrate Time" was this year's motto of the Citizen Watch Group at Baselworld. The stand concept for this was developed by the renowned studio
Tsuyoshi Tane Architects
from Paris. Expomobilia was charged as a general contractor with the realisation and assembly.
Arena 2.0: Open exhibition stand inspired by antiquity
As part of the 100-year jubilee, a stand open to customers was created with the Time Theatre. The aspect of the open space, in the style of a Greek arena, is reflected on both floors. From the offices on the first floor, the visitors, the audience, can follow all the events and animations on the stage through the windows. Beneath the arena, a corridor with an arched aluminium surface from Homopal and display cabinets, connects the two Citizen and Bulova stands.
Light show with 100,000 movements
Apart from the space, light also plays a central role. The brilliant light installation, with 100,000 painstakingly-positioned hanging clocks gave the visitors an impressive, geometric spatial experience and "converted" light into time.
The sparkling crystal world of Swarovski
Wings of sparkle: a sparkling crystal world designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, Japan. Swarovski is represented on the curved facade by 253,000 hexagonal chrome reflectors, 24,800 of which are fitted with computer-controlled leds. As General Contractor, Expomobilia is responsible for the planning, production and installation of the Swarovski pavilion. Being modular, the two-story structure is easy to store and has been reconstructed for Baselworld each year since 2013.
